The National Bank of Samoa (nbs) invites qualified candidates interested in pursuing careers with nbs to apply for the following positions.

 

  1. RELATIONSHIP MANAGER (BUSINESS BANKING)

nbs is seeking individuals interested in providing assistance and support to the Head of Business to ensure a sound and profitable growth of the loan book, increase its market share and the daily operation activities.

 

Key Responsibilities

As a Relationship Manager, your responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Identify opportunities to increase team revenue.
  • Identify and implement cost saving initiatives.
  • Customer visit program & Superior customer service
  • Growth Strategic planning
  • Achievable /stretched sales targets
  • Cross -sell bank products /services Staff Performance Objectives
  • Performance management & Capacity Building
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, bank policies and procedures including AML /CTF policy requirements applicable to their roles.

  • Teamwork Concern for Quality and Standards;

  • Excellent communication skills both in Samoan and English
  • Excellent reporting skills in Samoan and English;

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Economics/Banking/Business Administration or any related field.

Experience

  • At least 5 years of direct experience and sound knowledge of bank products and services

 

  1. BUSINESS ANALYST (BUSINESS BANKING)

This role will be responsible for supporting BRMs and RMs in establishing and driving acquisition plan for new customers, and retention strategy for existing high value customers with intricate business needs and requirements. The role will also focus on conducting and providing detailed research and intelligence to help both BRMs/RMs and customers stay abreast and informed of key market trends and risks for consideration when making important financial recommendations and decisions.

 

Key Responsibilities

As a Business Analyst, your responsibilities include but not limited to:

Work closely with SRMs and RMs to drive high quality deal originations and implement a tactical relationship management approach across portfolio and customer segments:

  • Conducting joint customer visits; both new and existing;
  • Understanding and identifying customer needs and making appropriate recommendations on solutions and cross selling opportunities
  • Completing quality credit analysis and proposal submissions; and
  • Developing and maintaining effective and sustainable relationships with internal and external business stakeholders.
  • direct accountability for quality and delightful customer experience with every interaction by way of driving and owning the team’s nbs

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Economics/Banking/Business Administration or any related field.

Experience

  • At least 3 years of direct experience and sound knowledge of bank products and services
