JOB VACANCY: Finance & Administration Officer
Tara Ice invites applications from qualified candidates for its Finance Administration Officer. This is a new position in our operations due to its recent expansion.
The Finance/Admin Officer will play a supportive role the local Manager in managing Tara Ice finance and administration work. The key duties and responsibilities as follows:
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintain and update MYOB accounting database software accurately & processing backups on a daily basis.
- Prepare weekly and monthly bank reconciliation statements of Bank Statements with Accounting system records
- Prepare daily summary of Sales receipts and cheque payments
- Prepare daily lodgement
- Process weekly payroll and monthly staff Statutory payments
- Draft correspondence and do quotations both national and international
- Negotiate deals with overseas and local suppliers for affordable pricing .
- Carry out daily and weekly follow up on outstanding invoices.
- Timely payment and updating of Accounts Payable accounts.
- Plan and lead team monthly stock take / store visits for all business sites – both Upolu and Savaii.
- Work closely with the Manager on updating the Asset Register
- Maintain the confidentiality of all business records
- Monitor and update any changes required on accounting software
- Actively involved in preparation of annual audit reports for Auditors
- Attend to other allocated duties from time to time as part of on the job training.
Qualification(s) / Key Skills Required
- A Certificate / Diploma in Accounting with at least 3-5 years working experience in a similar role.
Essential Skills
- Digital and Computer Literate
- MYOB and Excel Spreadsheet
- Write and Speak fluently in both English and Samoa
- Negotiation Skills with local and overseas suppliers
- Leading the Team
- Valid Driver’s license

Salary & Benefits
The successful candidate is offered the following:
- Annual salary of $12000 – $25000. Commencing salary with depend of experience and qualifications
- Monthly Sales Bonus from $100 to $500 based on meeting sales targets.
