Head of Credit Vacancy

 

The Head of Credit is responsible to the CEO to ensure achievement of the Bank’s vision through successful implementation of business initiatives regarding lending culture, policies and procedures.

 

This is a senior management role forming part of the Bank’s Leadership Team. It is expected that candidates have had appropriate experience and accountability to conduct independent and objective assessments and reviews of all lending proposals, in a timely manner, as well as the management and recovery of nonperforming loans.

 

Role Key Responsibilities:

Delivers quality credit assessments of proposals and objectively considers whether lending proposals make good commercial sense. Ensures that all credit approvals are soundly based, involve appropriate research / analysis and reflect the Bank’s current lending policies and risk appetite. Uses knowledge of economic sectors / industry and appropriate market data to support the assessment.

 

Position Requirements:

• Minimum qualification is a degree in Finance and Commerce or related discipline with minimum of 5 years experience.
• Strong negotiation and consultation and problem solving skills
• Strong management, conceptual and leadership skills
• Excellent report writing skills

Remuneration:
