The National Bank of Samoa (nbs) invites qualified candidates interested in pursuing careers with nbs to apply
for the following position:
RELATIONSHIP OFFICER (RO)
The RO role provides assistance and support to Business Relationship Managers and the Head of Business to ensure a sound and profitable growth of the loan book; to increase the Bank’s market share as well as contributing to the Department’s daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
As a Relationship Officer (RO), your responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Assist and contribute with initiatives to increase team revenue.
• Attend to loan customers, conduct loan assessments and provide sound recommendations
• Check accuracy and completeness of loan documentation by the customer prior to loan drawdown
• Check and action the Loan and OD Accounts Refer Lists on a daily basis.
• Conduct annual reviews for credit facilities under direct management
• Assist with customer visit program & provides superior customer service
• Assist and contribute to Growth Strategic planning
• Achieve stretched sales targets
• Cross -sell bank products /services as per Performance Objectives (KPIs)
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, Bank policies and procedures including AML /CTF policy requirements.

• Must have good understanding of nbs business, vision, mission as well as nbs organizational structure, and laws governing nbs;
• Must have sound knowledge of Bank Policies and Procedures guiding work operations of nbs;

Experience
• At least 5 years of direct experience and sound knowledge of bank products and services with regard to
lending process, assessment and analysis
Qualification
• Must have a minimum qualification of a Bachelor degree in any of these disciplines -Accounting/Economics/Banking/Business Administration or a relevant field of study
